Claire Hodgdon is a writer and educator based in Brooklyn. Her work has appeared in Teen Vogue, Electric Literature, Longreads, Pidgeonholes, and more, and been nominated for a Best of the Net award. She has an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University and a BA in English and American Literatures from Middlebury College. She has taught Creative Writing and English to students from third graders to adults, but most often works with high school and college students. Recently, she has taught with Caldwell University, Oliver Scholars, The School of The New York Times, the Moth, and Columbia. She is currently working on her first book, a memoir about the aftermath of loss at a young age.
